We know that part of being connected to a healthy community is being involved. We are already doing exciting things to connect and grow together in love and leadership so join us now and start experiencing that community. Community Engagement
This team manages the internal Ignite community. Basically everyone that calls ignite their church home whether in person or virtually. The main goal here is to help keep everyone connected to the Ignite community, keep everyone feeling like family, and keep everyone growing together in God. So they organize the Sunday services but they organize small group meetings, events, spaces, and connections in our community at cafes, online, at homes or other watering holes where we can develop community beyond just the major Ignite events like Sunday service. They are also responsible for community onboarding - As new people find Ignite and want to be a part of the community, this team helps them to discover family. This team is also responsible for caring for the needs and welfare of the internal community. If you love event planning, love connecting with people and love seeing people have a great time together, jump right in here. We need you!
Finance
This team is responsible for keeping the Ignite church community financially healthy. They track and maintain our income and expenses; they help make sure that the financial resources needed for all aspects of our church mission are available. So they manage church donations, they find creative ways to manage costs, manage the software and apps we use to track finances and much more. Ultimately, they help provide clarity and transparency about our finances to the church organization and the leadership of the church. If you are organized, know one or two things about accounting, or maybe you don’t have the accounting skills but just want to help out, get in here. We need you!
Online Evangelism
This team helps create cool marketing/promotional campaigns via graphics, flyers, website and other means of reaching people online. Seen our website? See the beautiful content on our social media? Watch our services online? That's them! They manage the Ignite brand online as its face and voice, and share its beliefs, character, purpose and goals with the general public to enroll them in Ignite’s vision and ultimately the kingdom of God. This also includes managing online church services and creating a great experience for the online congregation. If you are creative, have design skills (graphic, video, apps like canva) organized, a great team player or just want to help drive the church’s online strategy to reach more people with the love of God, we would love to have you.
Operations
This team handles everything relating to the day to day operations of the church and the senior pastors. This team church keeps the church moving. They handle everything from managing church event schedules, managing projects, church calendars, pastors schedules, communicating with the church, reminders to the church community, managing guest speakers, assisting the pastor, communicating with external vendors, planning internal team meetings, record keeping for the church and so on. If you would like to play a critical role in keeping the church running smoothly, if you love project management, and are organized, this is going to be great for you and for the church!
Prayer
It’s a fact - The church cannot achieve anything spiritually meaningful without prayer. This team keeps the church community covered in prayer. They lead (and participate in) scheduled intercession meetings, they create prayer devotionals to keep the team/community "Ignited", they create monthly themes for the church to maintain spiritual focus, and they spearhead any team-wide prayer initiatives. You don't have to be a “prayer expert” to join this team. If you believe in the power of prayer, or you want to develop your own prayer life, this is for you. This is one of the biggest ways anyone can add value to themselves and to the Ignite community.
Strategic Planning
This team is responsible for vision execution and planning. Essentially, the SPO team is tasked with figuring out HOW the vision, ideas and plans of Ignite Church will become a reality now and in the future. They provide project plans and help other teams execute their plans. Basically, they ensure that the operation is running smoothly now, and will continue to do so in the future.
They ask questions like:
How can our systems work better today?
Wouldn’t it be great if Ignite is able to do X in the next 2 years?
The SPO team relates with all other teams to assist and ensure that each team is plugged into the overall Ignite strategy. They work with senior leadership of the church to brainstorm on the future strategy for the church and create plans for it. If you are creative, organized and love efficiency, you’re just the person we need!
The City and The World
This team manages the external community. That consists of the city we live and the communities/groups we are called to make a difference in. They build programs that answers the questions:
How do we make a difference in our city, our communities, and the world?
How do we take the love of Christ into the world around us (and beyond) and really make the lives of people better?
How do we ease the suffering of people?
How do we do all of the above in a way that introduces people to the love of God in a way that is sustainable?
If your heart beats for helping people...if you love the idea that the church is able to meet both practical and spiritual needs of people, then this is totally for you and we’d love to have you!
Worship
The worship team uses music and the arrangement of melody to lead in Thanksgiving, Praise and worship of God, and usher the community into the presence of God. The team consists of musicians, singers, songwriters, producers, sound engineers, and lovers of music with administrative skills to keep us organized. If you're doing any of these things now or you've always wanted to be on a team like this, this is totally for you!
