Pray in Preparation & Expectation

Let’s prepare our hearts, minds and spirits ahead of this consecrated time with God.

  1. Lord, prepare my heart for what you want to do. I will not return the same. I will experience deliverance and all that God has in store for me.

    • Obadiah 1:17 — “But on Mount Zion there shall be deliverance, And there shall be holiness; The house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.”

  2. I received a double portion of the Lord’s anointing this year.

    • Joel 2:28 — “And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.”

  3. Let this retreat be our Bethel, where we encounter God and hear His voice audibly.

    • Genesis 28:16-18 — “When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought, ‘Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it.’ He was afraid and said, ‘How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God; this is the gate of heaven.’ Early the next morning Jacob took the stone he had placed under his head and set it up as a pillar and poured oil on top of it. He called that place Bethel, though the city used to be called Luz.”

  4. Lord, remove every distraction that may want to stand in my way. Help me to focus more on You, so that I can receive whatever You have for me at this retreat, in Jesus’ name.

  5. Lord, I surrender myself to You; do what only You can at this retreat.

  6. I pray for protection over our time there— the Lord will keep watch over us.

    • Psalm 121:4-6 — “indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord watches over you— the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.”

You were born, but you were first made.
You are not a new thought. If God has been thinking about you
for millennia, then He is committed to you. You do not occupy
space in His mind for nothing.
