Godfidence

The Waters of God

What happens when we decide to take time out to pray, to understand, to seek God's face, to worship, to love on each other, and to heal?

We leave transformed.

Then, we transform our world.

THIS YEAR’S THEME

The Waters of God

“Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.”

WHAT IS GODFIDENCE?

Three nights away, once a year

Godfidence is our annual church retreat. Once a year, we leave the city together and spend three nights at a conference centre in the Poconos — worship, prayer, teaching, meals, campfires, and lots of laughter. It’s a dedicated time of year when nothing else is competing for your attention. No commute, no inbox, no deadlines. Just the church in one place, with room to hear from God and room to actually get to know each other. Just the church in one place, with room to hear from God.

BEFORE WE GO

Pray in preparation
and expectation.

Let’s prepare our hearts, minds and spirits ahead of this consecrated time with God.

Below are some helpful resources for you:

Preparation prayers

  1. Thank God for another Godfidence.

    • Psalm 103:1-5

  2. Ask God for mercy and purification.

    • Psalm 51

  3. This year at Godfidence, I receive all that God has in store for me.

  4. This year at Godfidence, Lord let your glory fall, let your power fall just like the day of pentecost.

  5. Lord let there be supernatural encounters that will change the trajectory of our lives for good.

  6. Lord we come against every plan of the enemy before, during, and after Godfidence. Surround us as the mountain surrounds Jerusalem.

    • Psalm 125:2

  7. David had peculiar wisdom on how to deal with Goliath.  I receive wisdom and revelation on how to deal with the giants in my way.

    • James 1:5

  8. Lord, remove every distraction that may want to stand in my way. Help me to focus more on You, so that I can receive whatever You have for me at this retreat, in Jesus’ name.

  9. Lord, I surrender myself to You; do what only You can at this retreat.

  10. Pray for protection over our time there— the Lord will keep watch over us.

    • Psalm 121:4-6
